Founded and named by World Wide Corals (WWC), this Zoanthid has a dark
purple-blue body, bright yellow center, and fiery orange skirts. The color
combination makes the name "Flaming Sun" very appropriate, as it looks like a
small sun in the center of the polyp is surrounded by flames.
WWC Flaming Zoanthids are a rather uncommon Zoanthid morph in the hobby and we
don't know many other vendors, including World Wide Corals, offering this piece
anymore. We first purchased a frag of this Zoanthid from World Wide Coral's the
store auctions many years ago, with the first few polyps growing very slowly.
It was only recently that their growth has begun to take off after being
acclimated to our systems.
WWC Flaming Sun Zoanthids are relatively easy and hardy polyps to care for.
This morph has been conditioned to aquarium life and aquacultured for many
years and will do well in most systems, including those new to the hobby.
