You are purchasing: Water Hyacinth / Lettuce /Parrot Feather & Duckweed Aquatic
Floating Pond Plant
Selling from my Maryland fishpond. **
Please read all information below before purchasing. **
You will receive (1) Water hyacinth, (1) Water lettuce, (2) large roots of
parrots feather & (1) 2 oz container of duckweed.
Each water plant will be packaged with traces of duckweed (light to heavy)
on it as they grow together in the pond. An additional 2 oz container of
duckweed will be included.**
Each plant packaged may be a different size. It is likely to grow bigger &
multiply in accordance with the health of your pond.
All plants are great oxygenators & free floaters! The parrots feather can be
anchored within a pot of loamy soil if desired.
The water hyacinth and water lettuce will die off once temperatures get much
cooler. The parrot's feather and duckweed is likely to grow dormant in cooler
temperatures & overwinter in your water source reappearing once waters
temperatures get warmer year after year.
All of these plants can create a lovely green, sometimes magical coverage on
the top of your pond that counteracts algae blooms and shields your fish from
predators while providing food and nutrition to your fish and pond life.
These plants are considered an invasive plant due to their rapid growth.
They are illegal in certain states and can be hard to get rid of once put into
an aquatic environment. Therefore, please consider this and read whether it is
illegal in your state before purchasing. **
These plants do need to be contained and managed so that a sufficient
amount of sunlight is present in your pond. **
