Vintage "The Diamond" Gutta Percha Golf Ball by Whitman & Barnes, Akron, Ohio, patented on Jan 3 1899 - Above the equator reads "DIAMOND'' below the equator reads W & B CO. There are multiple cuts on the ball which cover up the patent date. Research indicates that there are around 2 dozen of these balls in existence. This would be a good ball to add to a collection.
