Discus Gran Wild is a multi-ingredient food in the form of slow-sinking
granules with the addition of algae, krill and fruit. Designed for daily
feeding of wild discus and other demanding species of fish obtained from their
natural habitat.
The Premium line consists of ready-made foods with many attractive additives
that provide fish with, m.in, excellent condition, beautiful colors and greater
resistance to diseases. The Premium line includes both universal and
specialized products designed for feeding fish with special nutritional
requirements.
The delicate structure of the granules, which quickly soften under the
influence of water, makes the fish from the catch willingly accept it. The food
consists of algae: spirulina (Arthrospira platensis), chlorella (Chlorella
vulgaris) and Ascophyllum nodosum and Laminaria digitata, referred to as kelp
algae. The unsaturated fatty acids, protein (rich in essential amino acids) and
vitamins contained in spirulina and chlorella, as well as micro- and
macroelements from kelp algae (including iodine, chromium, selenium and iron)
provide fish with excellent condition, intensive growth and vitality. The high
proportion of plant-based ingredients, including algae and fruits, reflects the
diet of discus in their natural habitat.
Fish regularly fed with Discus Gran Wild pellets receive a large dose of
chlorophyll – a green pigment whose concentrated sources are spirulina and
chlorella. Chlorophyll reduces the growth of unwanted bacteria in the
gastrointestinal tract, preventing inflammation and, together with zeolite,
promotes the excretion of toxins from the bodies of fish. The immune system of
fish in the fight against pathogens is supported by the active substances
garlic and spirulina. Carotenoids, such as krill and red peppers, and the
addition of astaxanthin maintain the natural colors of the fish, preventing
them from fading. Due to its strengthening properties, the food is recommended
in the feeding of fish during quarantine, acclimatization and convalescence.
