The perch is made from molded plastic. It has a smooth side for the fleshy
part of the foot, and the rough pumice on the sides keeps their nails short and
blunt. No more needle nails! Also the perch maintains room temperature and does
not leach the oils out of their feet. Put the perch in the highest point in the
cage to encourage them to sleep on it.
In the wild, birds are exposed to a wide variety of textured surfaces that are
