This distinctive basketweave tool contains a double rope pattern in its
center. It produces a very unique impression. Stamped on the tool is "Hide
Crafter", "USA", and "PX001". The impression measures 9/16" in length by 3/16"
in width. If you are wanting a basket weave pattern in your leatherwork that
doesn't look like all the others, this tool would help you attain it. This
would be a great addition to any leather worker's bench.
This tool should not be struck with a weighted maul as this stamp is made of a
lightweight metal, likely zinc, and could possibly bend or break. Using a
wooden, rawhide or poly mallet is recommended to avoid damaging this particular
stamp.
