Information
This pure and fresh Spirulina (Spirulina platensis) culture is intended to be
used as a starter for the growing of your own Spirulina. The culture is enough
to start a culture of 5 L (1.32 gallons). After 1 to 3 weeks (depending on how
well your growth conditions are) you can dilute the culture the same way again.
The Spirulina is grown in a clean food grade medium. Grow and harvest the
Spirulina for your own consumption or use it as fresh aquarium feed. Direct
after receiving your culture put it in a lighted area (window) until you add it
to your growth medium.
Included with the culture is 10 liter of HealthAlgae?s developed and complete
dry grow medium for Spirulina. This developed medium is designed to give you
3.5 grams of dry Spirulina (17.5 gram wet weight) per liter medium. In the
manual and on the medium package there are clear instructions on how to use it.
Dissolve in water and after circa 30 minutes of stirring you can add your
culture.
The size is for 10 L of growth medium, but you can dilute it in the double
amount of water and still be able to grow in it. That way it will give you 20 L
of medium.
