Flawed Purse Sale! We are offering some of our purses at $150 compared to our
normal price of $254 because they are flawed. Flawes are typically minor and
consist of uneven beading, blips in the wicker weaving, spaces in the weaving,
blemished wood beads, uneven hardware, aliment issues, tight and loose beading,
or any other flaw I deemed not well enough to sell as a normal purse. I will
not be sending a total mess of a purse, just purses that didn't meet my
standard when hand-making them.
Today we have a new item, It's a replica of the Sophia Petrillo purse used on
the 80's Hit TV show "The Golden Girls". This replica is the closest you will
find to the original vintage bag used on the show. We used synthetic
Rattan/Wicker, similar to what you would see on outdoor furniture. It is
extremely durable and cleans very easily with a damp rag. This handwoven bag,
comes complete with a tan liner, just like Sophia's in the show. The wood
beading details are handwoven right into the cross weave of the purse and are
on both sides (front and back) so that each side is the display side. I added
fake leather pads to the bottom, with metal feet. The inside liner has a
sewn-in divider for 2 serpent slots. We included a double handle, just like on
the show. Metal hardware was used to create the handle and the locking clasp.
This item is handmade and handwoven. On occasion you may see is missed weave
or a little blip in the weave. This is common, even for factory-made woven
wicker.* The wood beads are natural wood. They may vary in colors and textures,
as natural wood is not uniform. Some beads may have blemishes.
