Here we have a rare vintage Zuni silver bolo featuring a huge inlay Blue Gem
turquoise, coral, jet and mother of pearl sunface with a silver bead border!
This incredible bolo has a black braided leather tie with handcarved silver
pins, silver hogan beads and smaller matching inlay sunface pendants!
Absolutely Amazing! The tie length measures about 38". The small sunface
pendants measure around 1" x 1". The Blue Gem Turquoise Mine is located in the
Battle Mountain Mining District, Lander County, Nevada. Mining started at the
Blue Gem in 1934 and continued intermittently until the 1970s. The turquoise
found in the Blue Gem mine is considered some of the highest quality and the
mine produced a wide range of turquoise colors, including dark greens, dark
blues, and various combinations in between. The largest stone measures around
3/8" x 1/4". Sterling silver. The bolo measures around 2" x 2". Sturdy 40
