The Cryptocoryne undulata 'Broad Leaf' is a beautiful live plant perfect for
beginner aquarium enthusiasts. This package includes 2 units of Cryptocoryne
plants 8 to 10 in tall, ideal for creating a lush and vibrant underwater
environment. Grown in Canada, these plants thrive in freshwater tropical
temperatures, adding a touch of natural beauty to your aquatic habitat.
This is a red version of Cryptocoryne undulata that grows very fast and and
can reach up to 20 cm or 8 in to give visual volume to your set up.
It also provide shelter to my shrimps and a good surface for biofilm needed
for baby shrimps to feed on.
It comes from my personal aquariums free from pests and algae, grown in
Ottawas water.
It is an easy plant, tolerant of very different conditions in an aquarium.
Appearance of the plant will partially depend on these conditions.
Low levels of light and nutrients will produce a relatively tall,
greenish-brown plant of slow growth. Higher levels of light and nutrition,
combined with added CO2, will make the plant grow considerably faster producing
shorter leaves of a reddish-brown colour.
