Red Root Floater is a beautiful floating aquatic plant with dark red -
purplish leaves and red roots hence their name.
Red Root Floaters are one of the easiest aquarium plants to take care of and
propagate, however, they prefer stronger lighting to achieve the full red -
purple leaves. Otherwise most may be green.
Red Root Floaters are great for both fish and shrimp tanks, providing great
natural filtration or hiding for shrimps/ fry to hide in and graze.
Great at removing/exporting Nitrates!
Red Root Floaters prefer slower water flow and the leaves do best when the
tops stay dry. The roots are fairly short but vary in length depending on your
tanks bio load. Minimum of 8-12+ hours of full spectrum light per day is
recommended for them.
These Red Root Floaters have been growing in my shrimp only tanks. Occasional
shrimp fry or baby hitchiker malaysian trumpet snails may be on them. Always
shake or dip your plants prior to adding if you do not want them. (I will try
my best to shake them off)
There are zero snail eggs, Black beard algae, planaria, hydra or scuds on the
plants.
