This is a handmade Traditional Mountainman Rum Horn. This is somewhat of a novelty but these were actually made and used during fur trade era. This horn is approximately 6 inches in length, 3 inches in diameter at the base and 2 inches at the spout end. Both ends are of Walnut and fastened in the Traditional manner with thorns. There is a forged staple at each end for a strap. The plugs in the spout and the airlock are hardwood. This drinking horn has been lined with bees wax.
