Up for auction is a nickel Benjamin-Sheridan Racine, Wi. made pistol. The
nickel pistols were made from 1991 to 1999. The nickel version are not as
common as the black"HB" version. It was made as .177 cal. (hence the H17
designation in the book I have and H9 on the pistol itself). Also, it has a
rifled barrel as well & was the replacement pistol for the Benjamin Model 242
series. The original American Walnut grips & pump arm are there too. I've
treated both to a light coating of True Oil to help preserve them & the patina
on them. This is an early version of this pistol with the S/N being 130214. I
believe this makes the pistol a 1991 version, I know in 1994 they moved to
Bloomfield New York & the marking's changed. If nothing else, it is 1991 to
1993 vintage. You'll note that the grip near the trigger is straight/flat.
Later versions will have an indent there & I believe an H9A designation.
