Has both Nylon algae screen and NEW AFS-5 Algae Flex Screen More durable,
strong, flexible, easy to harvest algae, Yet leaves enough algae to start
again. Promotes algae growth faster than nylon screens when testing side by
side.
Lighting is all in place. You can move the light fixtures up
to view the algae screen on both sides
Hooking up a pump to the ACS. You have a union fitting
on the inlet bar screen holder and a 3/8” barb fitting for 3/8”
tubing. Remove the union when putting the tubing
on the barbed fitting then put the union back together.
Pump size or flow over screen is about 75gph to 330gph. You can
use your return sump pump by tee and valve to control
the flow.

Different water flows with restrictor plates you can it with or without
restrictor plates.

with restrictor plate Green-200-300, Yellow-125-200gph, Red-75-150. Spreads
water flow more even a cross the screen.
At first run lighting at 24/7. It depends on how available nutrients,
nitrates and phosphates is in your tank on how fast algae will grow, if it’s
taking to much out, Run your ACS lighting opposite with Display Lighting. This
will help pH swing.
Cleaning the screen remove the union pump side and lift the spray bar straight
up to remove for cleaning, slide back in and hook union pump side back on.

Nitrate, Phosphate and other pollutants) to grow algae in a controlled unit to
be easily removed to clean or harvest most of the algae and not in your display

The advantages of a Water Stream Refugium Algae Clean Scrubber
1. LED Lighting slides into window pockets to enclose lighting into main algae
chamber on both sides. Allowing no light on outside.
Note: You can run ACS lights opposite of display tank lights with a timer to
help stabilize pH swings.
2. The easy removable screen housing for cleaning and harvesting algae. If
screen is damaged it’s easy to remove and install a new screen.
3. Water inlet 1/2” ID with removable union to tee off from your main return
pump or a separate pump.
Note: Best to have a valve to shut off water supply to ACS for cleaning and
harvesting algae or just unplug power to the pump.
