Hydrocotyle vulgaris, commonly known as pennywort or water pennywort, is a
small, aquatic or semi-aquatic plant found in wet or marshy areas.
Characterized by its rounded, kidney-shaped leaves, it typically grows in
shallow water or damp soil. The plant often forms dense mats and is known for
its ability to spread quickly. It's sometimes used in traditional medicine for
its potential health benefits and can also be grown in garden ponds for its
ornamental value.
