The separately excited motor speed controller, Curtis Controller Model
1268-5501, operates at a high frequency of 16 kHz, making them a noiseless and
cost-efficient choice as they allow smooth control of brake, torque, and speed.
It is designed to suit heavy-duty transport vehicles ranging from high-power
demand golf carts to utility vehicles.
The Curtis 1268-5501 is a 36-48-volt model with 500 amperes current limit and
utilizes a 0-5K ohms throttle input. It weighs 3.9 kg and is 229 mm in length,
178 mm in width, and 81 mm in depth. The design is particularly similar to
Curtis 1266 but is more suitable for heavier applications. The design is
