I have for sale brand new plastic split leg rings ,suitable for all types of
larger finches and canaries including zebra finches ,gouldians, parrot finches,
diamond sparrows, mannikins, star finch, etc...
They are available in a wide range of solid colours (yellow, green, blue,
pink, white, red plus many more) made from high quality, durable plastic. Sets
of colours are available upon request. Rings never crack or split guaranteed.
Leg Rings are easy to apply using the handy leg band applicator (included in
the auction).
They are great for identifying newly purchased birds or sexing young birds
ready to leave the nest etc..I highly recommend and have been using these leg
rings for years to identify my own gouldians, parrot finches, mannikins and
zebra finches.
They measure 5mm in height, and have a 2.5mm inner diameter, they are alot
cheaper then you would pay for the thin aluminium type leg rings.
Rings are easy to apply here are some simple instructions: Start by forcing a
band on the applicator tool. Be sure the split opens up on the side with the
trough, holding the finch firmly, extend the leg the band will be applied to.
Place the band opening over the leg, the leg should now rest in the trough.
Place a finger on the band and slip the tool away, leaving the band on the leg.
Check the fit. The band should be loose on the leg, but not so loose that it
will slip over the foot.
