Red Mangrove (Rhizophora mangle), characterized by their spider-like "prop
roots" that stand out of the water, are very popular among aquarists for
several reasons. Simple, Varied Planting Options Red Mangroves arrive as approx
14-15"" + which quickly take root in sand or mud. They’re also perfectly happy
growing in gravel, live rock or water with no substrate at all. Just make sure
that leaves are above the water, and the root system stays moist. Tolerance to

full seawater (although they cannot be moved freely between water of varying
salinity). This adaptability is possible because the plant conserves fresh

large, bright window. They also require temperature above 60°F (which is

Care instructions:
Remove the plants from the shipping material. The temperature of this
tropical plant should not drop below 40 degrees.
Spray foliage once a day with mist bottle of fresh purified water.
Our Mangroves are cultivated in SG 1.021-1.024 so acclimation to your
saltwater tank should not be a problem
Lighting any 40w grow light 14"-18" away with a common daylight UV spectrum
8hrs/day.
Only prune once plant becomes forked with multiple branches even then do go
crazy as the leaves are your nutrient export.
Remove any leaves that fall into your tank.
Feed your plants raw overflow water from tank along with trace elements and
iron supplement.
If they begin dropping leaves, then they are not getting rinsed often
enough as Mangroves dispose of salt through their leaves
